Strong pressure to reduce CO2 emission accelerate hybrid introduction. In 2014, Renault presented a real technical breakthrough with “Ze-hybrid” a new hybrid powertrain and “Eolab” a low energy concept car.
This project demonstrated, the ability to combine performance and functionality awaited by our customers. In the same time, it keeps an easy packaging and a limited cost.
After a brief presentation this “Ze-hybrid” initial powertrain and its technology (part 2), we will explain how we design a four speed transmission compatible with global market for Renault-Nissan Alliance to answer PHEV and HEV needs (part 3). Finally in part 4 we will check the performance of this innovative system.
