Friction-induced noises are numerous in the automotive field. They also involve a large number of structures. Wiper squeal, seat squeak or dashboard creak are some examples of these noises.
In order to understand the main physical concepts at the origin of these different annoying noises, a two stages numerical study has been carried out. The first stage is based on a few d.o.f phenomenological model, the second consists in the application to finite element models.
