Keynote: Electrified powertrains: Renault Group’s multi‑offer strategy

Marianne BATAILLON, VP Electric Powertrain and battery Project Engineering Director at Ampere

In a context of strong market uncertainty and rapidly evolving customer expectations, Renault Group is deploying an electrified powertrain strategy based on three complementary offers: battery electric vehicles, REEVs, and hybrids. Battery electric vehicles rely on the mastery of key technological building blocks to optimize performance and efficiency. REEVs provide a pragmatic response to range and infrastructure challenges. Hybrid powertrains complement this approach with high‑performance technology and broad international deployment. This strategy enables Renault Group to coherently address the diversity of customer uses and global markets.

14:55

Keynote by Sophie DUZELIER, Vice President - Vehicle Platforms Advanced Programs at Stellantis

The conference will focus on Stellantis’ modular platform strategy, designed to meet the needs of multiple segments and incorporating technologies capable of satisfying a wide range of customer requirements across three regions.

15:25

Keynote - Horse Powertrain evolutions for the present and future: China view

Dr Jian WU, Chief Engineer at Horse Powertrains

This conference presents the technological development trends of powertrain systems, with a particular focus on hybrid powertrain applied by Horse Powertrain China, covering electrification, high-efficiency optimization, miniaturization, lightweighting, intelligent control and multi-fuel adaptability. Furthermore, this reference reviews China’s dual-credit policy and carbon credit regulations. Based on the current regulatory framework, hybrid technology will maintain strong development momentum in the Chinese market in the foreseeable future. This study ultimately demonstrates that hybrid powertrain should not be regarded as a transitional technology. When combined with sustainable green fuels represented by green methanol, hybrid systems are capable of serving as a long-term low-carbon or even zero-carbon powertrain solution for the automotive industry.
