CERTAM, CEVAA, D2T

CERTAM

Aerothermics and engine technology assessment and research center

Automotive combustion and pollutants

Certam is a technological research and development center specializing in clean engines and air quality. Certam is equipped with high tech test benches and experimental rigs dedicated to research monocylinder engines, rapid compression machine, experimental opaque or transparent engines.

Certam is expert in dynamic studies, optical technics and air quality, specifically in metrology of ultra fine particulates, unregulated pollutant measurements and aerosol toxicology.

Certam collaborates on the development of Variable Compression Ratio “MCE-5“ engine which will be visible on bench.

Certam is building facilities to install a new generation of powertrain test benches.

CEVAA
NVH testing Center for the Automotive Industry
Research and Development in Acoustics and Vibrations

CEVAA provides expert solution and services for complete vehicle, subsystems and powertrain acoustics/vibration measurements, and characterization, transfert path and modal analysis.
CEVAA is equipped with a unique chassis dynamometer in semi-anechoic room, modal analysis room with 3-D scanning laser vibrometer.
CEVAA works mainly for car industry but also for all sectors of transportation and industry to overcome projects involving noise and vibrations.
Currently, CEVAA investigates a lot on NVH optimization of Hybrid and Electrical vehicles but also,  CEVAA is developing new competences and methodologies on green materials and also on electronic compounds and mecatronic systems reliability.
CEVAA provides full services for Project Management.

D2T TECHNICAL CENTRE
D2T is a international supplier of powertrain development, test bed engineering, and test bed equipment.  The D2T Technical Center at Madrillet Technopole in Rouen is dedicated to engine and powertrain calibration, transmission testing, and full vehicle testing.  This high-tech facility has test beds available to perform testing for Euro 5 and Euro 6 development programs.
To expand their service capabilities, D2T has just opened a new 4x4 chassis dynamometer capable of performing Euro 6 emissions tests.  This new test bed is available for development of hybrid vehicles, low-emission vehicles, and future powertrain configurations.

RENAULT CLEON

Renault Cleon plant is one of the largest manufactories of engines and gearboxes over the world. Built in 1958, Cleon plant has produced in 2009,with 4000 employees, more than 300 000 engines and 500 000 gearboxes corresponding to 100 different combinations of powertrains. That is covering 30 % Renault needs worldwide but also the supply to other car makers. Cleon plant manufactures 5 engine families: F4 gasoline engine (2.0, 16v), F9 diesel engine (1.9 Dci), G9 diesel engine (2.5 Dci), new M9 diesel engine (2.0 and 2.3 Dci) and new V9 diesel engine (3.0  V6 Dci). In the close future, Renault will manufactures the new Renault low CO2, 1.6 l. diesel engine (R9 family) which matches the Euro 6 targets.

After a welcoming word from the Plant Director, the visit of the assembly line of 3.0 V6 diesel engine will be organized.
