The world first ALL LED Headlight was presented in the Audi R8, undoubtedly a sports car for high performance street driving. This paper will extend the definition of sports cars to the pure sports cars designed in small volumes for racing events like the 24hours Le Mans race. This article summarizes the target and development of this exotic but very challenging segment of car lighting.
