The recent experimentations on glare phenomenon has demonstrated that pitch variation of the vehicle is the main factor for glare. In this presentation, the goal is to present illuminance simulations of specific situations to evaluate the risk of glare. These calculations will confirm that 2000lm is a wrong parameter to regulate automatic levelling and that pitch variation of the vehicle is the main factor. The technology of the headlamp must be takenin consideration and one specific configuration of the topography (slope) can also create glaring situations During VISION congress,further analysis will be presented on luminance objects in relation with De-Boer criteria.
