Who hasn’t been, at least once, intrigued by an automobile noise or vibration? Irritant, worrying, even tiring!
This reflects the usual technical problems of our mechanics who must bring all their professionalism to respond to customer’s questions as: Which is the source of the noise? Does it announce a possible failure? What is the appropriate counter-measure?

An erroneous diagnostics occurs very often when noise and vibration costumer complaints are considered. These errors imply high costs of aftersales repairs due to expensive parts and labour. In order to minimise such aftersales costs a specific methodology for diagnostics of NVH customer’s complaints is required.
The PSA NVH diagnostic system is designed to achieve this requirement with its specific methodology, standards, database and dedicated tools. Today it is currently used in PSA Peugeot Citroën, while still may be improved and amended with the new prospects. It responds fully to the objectives of Operational Excellence of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Company.
