The "Salle des Illustres" is more than seventy metres in length and goes on all the facade of the Capitol. Classified “historic monument” in 1994, the magnificent paintings which decorate its ceiling were restored in 1999.
The room also exposes the busts of Toulousan famous characters: Caffarelli, Riquet, Pierre de Fermat, Comte Raymond VI, Jean Jaurès….
