Technical Committee Powertrain (TC1)

Presentation   Events   News   Formations   Publications

OUR AMBITION   OUR FIELDS OF ACTIVITY

  • Exchange ideas and thoughts about new features and customer requirements, regulatory and environmental constraints, consumer expectations, as well as the technological and methodological solutions for addressing them through continuous improvement and innovation

  • Make the automotive community aware of the progress made in these areas through events or publications

  • Contribute to identifying operational training courses on these topics

  • Our scope of action is powertrain engineering: engines, transmissions, fuel and lubricants

  • Our activities focus on customer requirements: performance, driving pleasure, improvements in energy efficiency and emission control, and on technology: conventional technologies and new solutions for powertrain (e.g., hybrid design, fuel cells), fuel (alternative energies) and transmissions.…

  • Cross-committee activities in particular include work on: quality and reliability, simulation, materials and recycling.

HOW WE WORK   OUR TARGETS

  • Committee activities in the form of regularly scheduled meetings or via modern means of communication.

  • Workshops, where twenty or so participants debate and share ideas on a given topic based on a presentation by an expert in that field.

  • Conferences and seminars, geared to a wider audience, to assess the state of progress and give an overall perspective on a given theme

  • Anyone in the automobile industry: Engineers, technicians and managers from automobile and equipment manufacturers, service providers, laboratories, schools and universities, research centres, etc.. Participants are drawn from many different functional areas within the automobile industry: design, manufacturing, purchasing, after-sales and services.
