In brief

Since 1927, the SIA (the French Automotive Engineers Society) has provided a common forum for the engineering community, as well as all those involved in and interested in the automotive industry.
United in their passion for the product, the progress of the industry and innovation, our members seek to exchange information and knowledge so that they can move forward together in terms of expertise, as well as individual and collective efficiency.
The SIA is of interest to both students and teachers in the automotive field and to the automotive industry as a whole. The SIA represents the French automotive industry within the European Automobile Engineers Cooperation (EAEC) and the corresponding world body (FISITA).

Events such as congresses and seminars targeted at those with an interest in the automotive world. Reduced rates for members. Several places for each congress or seminar are set aside at a very attractive price for student members of the SIA. Training courses developed in close cooperation with manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and service providers, run by experts from the automotive sector. Members are entitled to preferential rates. Maintaining a database of SMEs and laboratories in conjunction with the FIEV (the French Vehicle Equipment Industries Association) to make it easy for you to identify the activities and expertise of the companies, laboratories and research centres you need for your projects. A “Collaborative projects” area where your ideas can be put forward, approved and, where appropriate, brought to fruition by a project group.		An on-line directory which can be used to build your personal network and make it easier to make connections in the often complex automotive world A wide range of activities: workshops, conferences, factory visits, participation in think-tanks A bi-monthly “Automobile Engineers” review with advanced articles to enrich your scientific and technical knowledge Jobs and Work experience

The SIA also welcomes students

The SIA offers its student members a program of specific activities: corporate tours, meetings with key figures from the automotive world, conferences, etc., and in particular, the SIA Trophy.

This Trophy is intended for the education world and for students. The objective is the design and building, by multidisciplinary teams, of a movable vehicle respecting regulations in favor of innovations and "0 emission" energies.

The FISITA (International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies) is the world body which represents over 169,000 automotive engineers in national associations covering 36 countries.
